Hi! 

I'm Susan Ruvolo.  I design and make all the purses at Asheville Purse Creations.  My goal is to offer women a chance to carry a purse that is unique and beautiful at an affordable price.  Your purse, like your clothing and your jewelry, should  be a reflection of your personality and good taste.  You don't just want  a cookie cutter version of what everyone else has.  That's why I strive to keep my designs fresh and original.  I also create a lot of custom bags to my customer's specifications. 

Originally from New York, my husband Ron and I moved to Fairview, a suburb of Asheville, NC when our son, Joseph, was 4 months old.   Now, 4 years later, there's no place we'd rather be.    Asheville has the beauty, culture and great people that makes Western North Carolina an incomparable place to live.

My husband Ron (aka the Shipping Department) and I have recently started a line of leather purses.  Look for the leather line to appear on the website soon.   As Ron is now designing, cutting and hand stitiching leather bags I guess I will have to come up with a new title for him!

Oh and by the way! I am also a woodturner.  For those of you who do not know what that is... I have a wood lathe, a tool used to turn wood into bowls and vessels and the like.  I have recently begun to turn buttons for my purses.  Currently I use dogwood, cherry and walnut.   Each wood has it's own unique beauty and lends it's own character to buttons that complement the purses in an incredibly unique way.  I hope you enjoy them.
